ADB awards 3 projects

KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Management teams of three projects operated with the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB) have been awarded today for their excellent contribution to improving living standards of the people of urban and rural areas.

The awarded projects are Community Livestock Development Project, Community Drinking Water and Sanitation Project, and Urban Environmental Improvement Project.[break]

At an annual review programme, organized by the Bank today, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Krishna Hari Basnkota, and ADB Nepal Country Director Barry Hitchcock handed-over letter of appreciation to the projects.

The Bank has been awarding management teams of projects run by the ADB for their excellent works, since 1996.

On the occasion, Banskota discussed on the important role of ADB in the development of Nepal and expressed the confidence that further support will be provided by the Bank to forward the pace of regional development.

Hitchcock said review of regional investment of the Bank will help bring new programmes in the coming years.
