BIRATNAGAR/BUTWAL, Oct 30: As many as 81 fuel tankers entered Nepal through Jogbani and Gauriphanta border checkpoints on Friday.
The flow of supplies from India has increased but this is still much less compared to the supply before the blockade.
Out of total, 64 tankers with petroleum products entered Nepal through the Biratnagar-Jogbani border checkpoint. The cargo comprises of 52 diesel tankers, eight petrol tankers and four LPG bullets.

The petroleum products imported Friday morning via the Jogbani border have been safely transported to the regional depot of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), according to DSP Arjun Sapkota of Armed Police Force deployed at Biratnagar customs point.
“I have been assigned with my team of APF personnel to escort the vehicles loaded with petroleum products,” DSP Sapkota told Republica.
Likewise, 17 tankers with petroleum products entered Dhangadhi of Kailali district through Gauriphanta border point on Friday. Thirteen of the tankers transported diesel while one was carrying petrol and three tankers were filled with aviation fuel, according to the regional office of the NOC.
NOC Regional Chief Sharad Paudel informed that the inflow of petroleum products from India has increased since Thursday.
Meanwhile, 12 tankers of the NOC on Friday reached Rasuwa to transport petroleum products from China provided as grant assistance to Nepal.
Locals and civil society leaders welcomed the NOC tankers to Rasuwa. The tankers will fill petroleum products at Kerung of Tibet autonomous region of China on Saturday morning.
It has been learnt that the fuel from China will be distributed in the Kathmandu Valley.
