Last year, 72 percent students under science faculty had passed the exams. Likewise, 6,349 students had appeared under the partial category, of which 3,266 made it through.
The exams were conducted at around 1000 exam centers across the country. Around 38.58 percent of the total examinees had passed grade 12 examinations last year, whereas the related figure for grade 11 was 40.38 percent.
Meanwhile, to curb irregularities in the selection of exam centers, the HSEB had formed coordination committees at the district level that would recommend exam centers to District Education Offices (DEO) for the first time this year. The DEO was the sole authority to appoint exam centers, superintendents, observers and the workforce in the previous practice.
