Direction Nepal P. Ltd. is hosting the Third Annual Children’s Expo from January 7 to 10 at the Direction Exhibition & Convention Center, United World Trade Center in Kathmandu, which will be inaugurated by singer Ani Chhoying Drolma.
With more than 50 exhibitors showcasing various children’s products and services, the expo is expected to attract a crowd of nearly 15,000.
Trilokeswor Malla, managing director of Direction Nepal, said the expo plans to bring together various products and services targeted at children and give proper information about them.
“The main objective of the expo is proper utilization of time for children during their winter vacation,” said Ramesh Thapa, event manager for the expo, speaking at a press meet.
Thapa also stressed on the other events at the expo, such as a free dental clinic organized by Kantipur Dental College, a fancy dress competition organized by Namuna College of Fashion Technology, and a workshop/seminar on child psychology.
Sashi Kapali, coordinator of Namuna College and the fancy dress competition, said there are 48 child participants who are currently attending a six-day training session on grooming and mass communication.
The Children’s Expo will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
