3 Indian nat'ls taken hostage rescued

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Police have rescued three Indian nationals taken hostage in Birtamod of Jhapa district after luring them with Australian dreams.

A police squad of District Police Office, Jhapa has nabbed five people including  two Indians for thier alleged involvement of the abduction of the three Indians after promising that they would be taken to Australia.


According to DSP Bhim Dahal, the group involved in the kidnapping asked the families of the abductees for ransom through telephone after taking them hostage.

Nepal Police said they are coordinating with the Indian Police for additional information about the rescued Indian nationals.
