16 hurt in bus accident

CHITWAN, May 14: At least 16 persons were injured when a bus met with an accident at Piple in the eastern part of Chitwan district Wednesday evening. One of them was seriously hurt.

Fifteen of the injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital while seriously injured Jogendra Chaudhary, 24, was rushed to Kathmandu.

The ill-fated bus (Na 2 Kha 5911) was on its way to Kathmandu from Birgunj. The district police office Chitwan said that the bus had skidded off the road and overturned due to its exceeding speed.
