15 college teachers resign in group

ITAHARI, Oct 26: Altogether 15 teachers including the campus chief of Janata Multiple Campus here resigned in group on Monday after the two students unions -- Nepal Students´ Union and Maoist-affiliated ANNISU-R repeatedly padlocked the campus over a dispute over Free Students Union (FSU) elections held seven months ago.



The resignation comes after the two students unions padlocked the campus administration one after another protesting the FSU election committee´s decision to declare election results against a previous agreement.



Those tendering resignation include Campus Chief Narad Upreti, Assistant Campus Chief Nir Kumar Rai and teachers Bhoj Raj Shrestha, Tol Nath Kafle, Shanti Ram Dahal, Madan Raj Baral, Arjun Pandit, Dr Tanka Nyaupane, Kedar Prasad Paudel.
