KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The government has formed a specialized medical committee to render healthcare services to VIPs and VVIPs within the country.

KATHMANDU, July 11: Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet has said that the government was working to ensure medical treatment of VIPs within the country.

I have lost count of the number of times I have been stuck in traffic waiting for this or that VIP to pass by in their motorcade. At the end of the day when all you want to do is get home and rest your weary soul, there is nothing more annoying than waiting for our newly minted royals and their entourages.

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Following widespread criticisms over the trend of VVIPs and VIPs going to foreign countries for medical treatment on government cost and the misuse of the facility, the Finance Committee of the parliament has directed the government to provide assistance only to those who are not in a position to foot the medical bills themselves.

KATHMANDU, June 20: The sub-committee under the Legislature-Parliament's Good Governance and Monitoring Committee has submitted its report to the main committee.
