'Socialist Journey' on display

A five-day painting exhibition began on Monday at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan, Kamaladi on the occasion of the 8th National General Convention of the CPN (Maoist Center. About two dozen works of art titled 'Socialist Journey' are on display.

Rectangles, circles, squares and more form different patterns and figures in artist Sangee Shrestha’s paintings are displayed in Mcube Gallery, Chakupat, Patan. This is her second solo exhibition titled ‘Sambeg’, where she uses these geometrical shapes to give figurative forms and expresses her emotional journey during the time of pandemic and beyond.

A group painting exhibition “Emerging Light from Darkness: A Promise of Prosperity and Joy’ began on March 13 in Souvenirs Gallery Café, Kathmandu.

Transparency International Nepal (TIN) organized a one-day painting exhibition on Sunday at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal. TIN has been organizing painting exhibitions on an annual basis with an aim to inculcate in the viewers a sense of the virtues that people need to follow in order to eradicate negative effects of corruption on society through art.

A painting exhibition ‘Miraculous Places’ by German artist Dagmar Mathes is on display at Taragaon Museum, Boudha. The exhibition began on Tuesday where Paula Werner, Secretary of Culture from the German Embassy inaugurated the exhibition.

Alluring nature on display

This is her 13 th solo exhibition where she has exhibited her artwork in Japan, France and Australia as well. In the exhibition one can view her artwork since 1999 and similar to the title of the exhibition she has created alluring nature on her canvas.
