After 'Green Book' won him two Academy Awards, Peter Farrelly is all set for his next flick based on the book 'The Greatest Beer Run Ever. The film is based on the book written by Joanna Molloy and John Chicki Donohue and published in 2017, learned Variety.

Members of the team behind “Green Book” say they were amazed and thrilled it was crowned best picture at the Academy Awards despite the controversy that has dogged the segregation-era road-trip drama.

“Green Book” co-writer Nick Vallelonga has apologized for a 2015 tweet about Muslims and 9/11 that has resurfaced a few days after the film won a Golden Globe Award.

“Green Book” director Peter Farrelly said Wednesday that he’s deeply sorry and embarrassed after film website The Cut found a 20-year-old story where colleagues said Farrelly liked to flash his genitals as a joke.
