Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar created quite a buzz on social media when they announced 'their all-girls film, Jee Le Zaraa' starring Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Contrary to the common belief that the Akhtar siblings struck a casting coup, we now know that it was the other way around.

Filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's production house Tiger Baby Films has launched a new series, "Off The Record", which will feature behind the scene stories of films.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor instantly agreed to feature in Zoya Akhtar's short in the horror anthology ‘Ghost Stories’ for two reasons: to understand how the filmmaker creates her characters and because she finds herself drawn to "slightly tragic characters".

From never being able to find one's true potential to putting loved ones at risk by speaking out are some of the fears that "Ghost Stories" directors Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar battle in their lives.

Producer Ashi Dua says having filmmakers like Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee direct horror stories was an exciting ride.

After Zoya Akhtar was announced as the latest member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences', proud father Javed Akhtar exuded his happiness on social media.
