KATHMANDU, Feb 17: 'Mundum International Art Exhibition' organized by Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality of Khotang district has kicked off in Kathmandu today.

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: The Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation are going to hold an exhibition ‘NINGYŌ: Art and Beauty of Japanese Dolls’ in Kathmandu from December 7 to December 21, aiming at introducing and promoting Japanese culture to the people of Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Nov 29:  An art exhibition titled “Deities of Nepal” is being held at Nepal Art Council on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of Nepal Art Council and 50th anniversary of Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal from November 27 to December 10, 2022.

Sanim KC, 20-year-old book and lyrical video illustrator, is known for his realist art of famous celebrities on Instagram. His painting of Lord Krishna won him an award at the Student Quality Circle conducted in Lucknow in India.

In the exhibition, these artists have depicted portraits and landscapes within the theme of culture, religion and tradition. A total of 49 paintings using various mediums such as acrylic, color pastel, pencil, charcoal, etc were showcased.

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The second edition of Himalayan Art Festival concluded on Saturday at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal. Organized by the E-Arts Nepal, the festival was geared toward promoting the artworks of Nepali artists in Nepal.

Veteran author, Shanta Das Manandhar, has been awarded ‘Devkota Lu Xun Pragya Puraskar’ on Saturday at the premises of Nepal Art Council, Baber Mahal.  Manandhar received a cash prize Rs 50,000 and a copper plate from Rabindra Adhikari, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Speaking at the award function, Adhikari said that art and literature had the power to direct the society into a right direction.
