KATHMANDU, May 19: Four trial centers in the Kathmandu Valley have halted their services for driving license practical tests from Thursday.

In the pursuit of acquiring a driver's license, individuals embark on a long journey of learning, practice, and, ultimately, examination. This examination, particularly the practical test, is meant to assess competency and ensure safety on the roads. However, recent revelations by the National Vigilance Center (NVC) paint a bleak picture of this process in the Kathmandu Valley.

KATHMANDU, May 12: The National Vigilance Center (NVC) has concluded that several driving license trial centers in the Kathmandu Valley are not adhering to prescribed standards, resulting in the failure of test takers.

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The National Vigilance Center (NVC) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has conducted inspection of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC). The inspection revealed that nine employees came to the office without wearing the prescribed uniform. The NVC informed that two people were not found in the working room.

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The National Vigilance Center (NVC) has instructed the provincial governments to make arrangements to allow the test takers to use their vehicles voluntarily while giving the practical test (trial) for driving licenses.

KATHMANDU, July 19: The National Vigilance Center (NVC) has requested public officials or government employees to submit their property details. Hari Prasad Sharma, information officer and Under Secretary of NVC, said that according to Section 50 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 BS, public officials or employees have been asked to submit their property details for the fiscal year 2022/23.
