CIAA files corruption case worth Rs 103 million against six people, claiming irregularities in Madhesh Province’s ‘Beti Padhau, Beti Bachau’ campaign

KATHMANDU, August 4: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) registered a corruption case against six people including the then secretary of Madhesh Province at the Special Court in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The CIAA has accused them of carrying out financial irregularities worth Rs 103.3 million in the name of the Beti Padhau, Beti Bachau (Educate Daughters, Save Daughters) campaign.
