Weather expected to gradually improve from Sunday

KATHMANDU, Nov 19: The weather impacted by the low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea will gradually start improving from Sunday, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM). 

The weather in most of the places of the country is partly to generally cloudy with chances of light snowfall in some places of the high hilly and mountainous region due to the influence of the low-pressure system that has developed over the Arabian Sea.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in most of the parts of the country with chances of light snowfall in some places of the high hilly and mountainous region and light rain in one or two places in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces during this period.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division in its weather update stated that the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley stood 11.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum 22.5 degrees Celsius over the last 24 hours. The lowest temperature, 1.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jumla and the highest maximum, 29.2 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Surkhet in the same period.
