Nepse loses 9.69 points, daily turnover declines to Rs 803.52 million on Sunday

KATHMANDU, OCT 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday declined marginally by 9.69 points to close at 1,860.94 points.

The secondary market opened at 1,870.63 points and went to as low as 1,853.07 points, before recovering by around seven points. The daily turnover amount stood at mere Rs 803.52 million, down from Rs 829.64 million last Thursday.

Only two trading groups, including banking and manufacturing and processing, posted gains of 3.25 points and 13.83 points, respectively. The remaining 11 trading groups witnessed a decline in their average share prices.

Everest Bank Limited had the largest transaction of Rs 84.75 million. People’s Power Limited was the topmost loser while Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the largest percent in its market value.
