House robbed at gunpoint

BHAKTAPUR, Feb 21: A house was robbed at gunpoint at Libali in Bhaktapur Municipality-2.

A five-member armed gang robbed the house of Rajkumar Lakhemaru, a bricks factory owner, of Rs 875, 660 on Monday evening.

According to the victim, the motorcycle-borne armed gang stormed into the house and took away the cash along with two mobile sets and a walkie-talkie used on the bricks factory premises.

Lakhemaru was taking a rest in the bed on the first floor of his house when the robbers barged into the house around at 7 pm.

Police are carrying out an investigation into the case, SP Kiran Rana of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur told Republica Online.
