KATHMANDU, Sept 22: There is a possibility of heavy rain at a couple of places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces today.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has said that the weather throughout the country will remain cloudy today. However, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The officials of MFD said that the Monsoon low pressure line is currently located to the southernmost border of Nepal around Jharkhand. As a result, this has an influence in the weather of Nepal.

There will be partial to normal rainfall across the country this afternoon. There is chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places of remaining provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in a couple of places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces and also said that there is a possibility of wind in a couple of places in Terai area of Madhesh and Koshi provinces.

Similarly, the MFD said that there will be normal rain in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and partial rain in the remaining areas tonight. Light to moderate rain with thundershower/lightning is expected at some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at few places of rest of the province. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder/lightning at a couple of places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

The DHM has asked everyone to take precautionary measures as weather conditions are expected to change across most parts of the country today.
