Community schools closed due to chilling cold in Mahottari

MAHOTTARI, Jan 10:  The community schools in Mahottari district have been closed for four to eight days amidst dipping temperatures.

The local governments in the district have decided to close the schools after cold waves, thick fog and chilling conditions started affecting life. 

The Jaleshwor, Manarasiswa, Bhangaha, Gaushala and Bardibas municipalities along with Pipara, Ekadara, Sonama and Samsi rural municipalities have closed all schools in their area.

Chief of the District Education and Coordination Unit, Mahottari, Rajdev Yadav, said classes at schools have been stopped after the intense cold started affecting life.

According to him, the schools are closed for four to eight days to be deducted from the summer holidays.
