KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that the process of removing Batash group from the Narayanhiti Palace Museum will be taken forward.

Speaking to media persons on Thursday, Minister Ale said that the Batash group that is currently constructing physical infrastructures including a restaurant at Narayanhiti Museum would be removed from there.

Minister Ale said that the group would be removed even if this requires it to be decided from the level of cabinet. He also mentioned that he would visit the Narayanhiti palace museum on Thursday.

“The whole environment of the museum can be ruined if the people who take the museum in lease change with the change in people in power. Thus, we will remove the group either from the ministerial decision or through the cabinet,” said Ale.

He also said that further investigation will be conducted on how the Batash group was able to secure the lease to build a restaurant within the premises of Narayanhiti Palace.
