4 passengers swept away by river

PALPA, July 10: Four people on board a jeep have gone missing after the jeep with registration number Lu 1 Ja 1217 was swept away by flood at Tinau River on Sunday night.

The missing persons have been identified as Usha Shrestha of Tansen-1, Tilbir Gaha, his wife Maya Gaha  and Padam Bahadur Magar of Mathagadhi-1.

The incident site is situated at a place that connects Mathagadhi and Tansen.

The driver of the jeep had informed the police and his relatives of the dire situation after the jeep got stuck in the middle of the river. He was rescued by his relatives but they failed to rescue the other passengers. The jeep got suddenly swept away as they were trying their best to save the others.

Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have intensified the search for the missing four persons.
