KATHMANDU, July 27: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and five municipalities across the country have launched a joint initiative to improve the municipal waste management system. The venture will create 1,500 green jobs for the most vulnerable groups, and especially women from the selected municipalities.

RANJHA, July 26: Three children who went missing from Kohalpur-4 of Banke district six months ago have been rescued from Bareilly, India. Among the rescued children are 11-year-old Rosan Wadi, 7-year-old Bishal Wadi and 5-year-old Pooja Wadi, according to Kohalpur Ward-4  Chairman Tirtha Ram Tharu.

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Child Health and Immunization Section under the Family Welfare Division has stated that an additional 1.6 million Vero Cell vaccines brought from China will be used to inoculate people who are above 55 years of age. A total of 1.6 million doses of vaccine had arrived in Nepal on Thursday and Saturday.
