KATHMANDU, Nov 27: Crusador of medical education reforms, Dr Govinda KC, has urged the government to stall the process of converting the Koshi Zonal Hospital into a teaching hospital under the Purbanchal University (PU) until the formation of the Medical Education Commission.

Hospital administration claims that the hospital has not been allocated adequate quotas of doctor and that even the availed quotas are not fulfilled.
KATHMANDU, March 16: The Asian Zonal 3.2 Chess Championship, which is also the qualifiers for Chess World Cup, is set to be held in Kathmandu from March 18 to 28. The tournament being hosted by Nepal Chess Association (NCA) will feature players from South Asian nations including host Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Maldives. JHAPA, July 18: Tara Nath Khatiwada of Shani Arjun-1, Jhapa went to a private hospital in Jhapa seeking treatment for stomach pain. After he went through all sorts of medical checkups, the doctor said that he had a hernia.
Dang, June 10: The construction of an oxygen plant has started at Rapti Zonal Hospital at Tulsipur with an aim to supply necessary oxygen system needed for the medical purposes.
The preparation to set up an oxygen plant at a government run zonal hospital is first of its kind in Nepal. The government extended financial support of Rs 12.5 million for construction of the plant, the hospital said.
