KATHMANDU, April 14: The current session of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been prorogued from today.

In a democratic country, the highest institution in which representatives are elected by the people is the Parliament. Its main task is to formulate necessary laws for the governance and administration of the country. Democratic countries are governed by laws, and these laws cannot be formulated by anyone other than the sovereign Parliament.

DANG, March 1: The winter session of the Lumbini Province Assembly is starting from today. Province Assembly Secretary Durlav Kumar Pun said that the Province Assembly is scheduled to meet at 3:00 this afternoon.

The winter session of the federal parliament commenced from Monday. The third session of the House of Representatives and the 15th session of the National Assembly began with speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire and Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina welcoming the lawmakers to their respective sessions and reading out the letters regarding the convening of the parliament session received from the Office of the President and the Prime Minister’s Office.
