KATHMANDU, July 16: The Nepal Trade Union Congress (NTUC) aligned to the Nepali Congress today organized a march demanding an increment in wages to workers both in formal and informal sectors. The march that originated from Maitighar concluded at New Baneshwor.

BANEPA, July 17: The third municipal council meeting of Panauti Municipality has concluded with the decision to stop discrimination on wages for male and female agricultural and construction workers. Due to the continuing wage gap between the two genders, the fiscal program of the financial year 2018/19 came to this decision. Panauti is the first of the 13 local units in Kavre district to adopt such a policy.

PALPA, May 2:: Chairperson of Minimum Wages Fixation Committee, Ganga Parajuli has said that the written complaints regarding to not getting minimum wages by the working journalists were not registered to them in a large scale. He added that though such complaints are plenty in the media, written complaints are less in number.

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that minimum monthly wage of workers should be determined at Rs 15,000 and promised to take the necessary step towards that end.

NSC pays CAN employees' wages

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: National Sports Council (NSC) has provided the due wages of last five months to the employees of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Thursday. CAN employees were not paid salary since the association's suspension from International Cricket Council (ICC) last April.

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has committed to implementing the recommendations made by the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee regarding the wages and services of the working journalists.
