SUDURPASCHIM, Sept 12: Amid the risk of the coronavirus infection, the problem of viral fever has been on the rise in the Sudur Paschim Province in recent days.

BAJURA, Feb 8: Suspected viral fever has claimed two lives and infected dozens of people in Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality of Bajura district, according to Janak Bahadur Rokaya, chairperson of ward number 1 of the rural municipality. Health experts have however hesitated to term it as viral fever unless medically proven.

BAJHANG, Sept 9: The district hospital of Bajhang and private medical centers have been jam-packed with the patients of viral infections. Most of them are from the rural villages and have high fever. According to the medical superintendent of the district hospital, Sandip Okheda, viral fever has gripped the people here for the last two weeks. "Hundreds of people are coming to the hospital for treatment. The situation is chaotic," he said. "People are getting sick due to the changing season, consumption of dirty water, the recent floods and so on," he added.

BIRATNAGAR, Aug 27: An emergency ward at Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital in Morang has experienced an increasing flow of viral fever patients.

TANAU, Aug 15: The number of viral fever and typhoid patients has increased off late at the Damauli hospital. The onset of summer season has led to a rush of patients, especially children, elderly and expecting mothers at the hospital.

BAJURA, May 7: Following the mobilization of enough health workers, a viral fever outbreak which created panic in three villages of Himali Rural Municipality of Bajura district over the last couple of weeks, is slowly coming under control.
