DHARAN, Nov 14: A 19-year-old COVID-19 infected new mother has died in Dharan. She died today at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), confirmed BPKIHS’s joint-spokesperson Dr Aashish Shrestha.

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Nepal on Thursday confirmed 2,364 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Of the 9,769 real time PCR tests carried out in various labs across the country in the past one day, 1,380 males and 984 females were diagnosed with this viral infection.
KATHMANDU, Oct 23: The total number of people infected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal has surpassed 150,000 with 4,499 new cases confirmed on Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) reported.
Nepal recorded 10 more fatalities linked with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 477--which is 0.65 percent of total coronavirus infections. According to the data maintained by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the Kathmandu district recorded three COVID-19 related deaths, followed by Lalitpur and Bardiya with two deaths each. Likewise, Bara, Rupandehi and Achham districts also recorded one COVID-19 related death each. As of Sunday afternoon, as many as 33 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment on ventilators and 225 are in intensive care units of various hospitals across the country.
