KATHMANDU, May 7: Traffic Police has opened a corridor under the bridge of new Bus Park as part of its plan to ease traffic congestion in the Valley. The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division on Monday constructed the corridor as part of action plan on traffic management and pollution control.
KATHMANDU, March 2: The economic cost of traffic congestion in the Kathmandu Valley was above Rs 16.5 billion in 2018, according to an estimate. The loss calculation was made based on the collective time wasted of drivers and passengers, in all vehicles plying on Kathmandu Valley roads.

DHADING, Oct 1: In a bid to ease Dashain-induced traffic congestion along the Naubise-Nagdhunga road section, the authorities are making preparations to use Dharke-Sitapaila road as an alternative route.
DHADING, Sept 4: After leaving Dhadingbesi of Dhading at 5:30 in the morning, a passenger bus reached Kathmandu at 3 in the afternoon. Normally, it is a three hour distance but the miserable road has made travelling lengthier these days. The sloppy and bumpy road, multiple bends, overloaded and speeding vehicles, more often than not, lead to congestion. That in turn leaves passengers stranded for hours.
