BARA, July 22: Following a significant decrease in vegetable production due to heavy rains in India's Uttar Pradesh last week, Nepali tomato exports are  experiencing a surge in demand and finding a robust market in the neighboring country. This surge is attributed to the seamless customs process that allows Nepalese vegetable producers to send their goods to the Indian market without any hindrance.

La Tomatina is a Spanish festival usually held during the last Wednesday of August in a place named Bunol.

Named for the hotel where it was invented in Sweden, Hasselbacking is a technique where a vegetable (traditionally potatoes) is partially sliced, accordion style, brushed with butter, sprinkled with bread crumbs, and baked.

A summer tomato gratin should burst with concentrated, bright tomato flavor and contrasting firm texture from the bread, but most recipes lead to mushy results. Not this one.
