COVID-19 is here to stay for sometime. Learning to live with it looks the only pragmatic way forward. The immediate thing that the government must do is further expand the scope of COVID-19 vaccination.

NEPALGUNJ, August 8: The situation of COVID-19 is getting worrisome in Banke again. PCR test reports conducted in various laboratories here have shown an increase in the number of cases. Despite the increase in the COVID-19 cases, the marketplaces are still crowded and bustling with people.

KATHMANDU, August 5: The third wave of COVID-19 has begun in Nepal, according to health experts and officials at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, July 30: The infection rate in Nepal on Thursday reached 23.62 percent. Of the 14,242 samples tested in 24 hours, COVID-19 infection was confirmed among 3,336 individuals. On Wednesday, the rate was above 24 percent. With additional cases of infection, the total number of infected people in Nepal has reached 750,022. Of them, 448,449 were infected during the second wave.

SUNSARI, July 28: The number of COVID-19 infections has started to rise in Sunsari district following the government’s decision to ease the lockdown to a large extent. Dharan and Itahari have recorded the most cases of the virus in the district, Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal said.
