KANCHANPUR, June 14:  Telecommunication services in Shuklaphanta Municipality-10, Jhalari Bazar area have been disrupted for four days. The telecom and internet service have been disrupted due to an issue in the optical fiber. In absence of a proper network, there have been issues in call services in GSM mobile phones.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Nepal Telecom (NT) has rolled out 4G service in 36 districts of the country. Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli launched Nepal Telecom's nationwide 4G/LTE network amid a function ceremony held in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Though 4G service has been available for NT users in the Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara, the government-owned telecommunication company has expanded the high-speed data service to 59 more cities of 36 districts of all seven provinces.

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) is making it mandatory to register the mobile SIM card under the user’s own name. The new rule that the NTA – the telecommunication market regulator – is introducing ‘soon’ will restrict individuals from using the SIM card registered under the ownership of another person.
