KANCHANPUR, Jan 7: India's Seema Surakshya Bal (Border Security Force) has removed a temporary post it had set up in the no-man's land on the Nepal-India border near Belauri Municipality-10 in the district.

TIKAPUR, Dec 23: India's paramilitary force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), which had obstructed the construction of a river embankment in Kailali, has backed off from the region. It also said that the construction was not obstructed intentionally.

KANCHANPUR, March 9: A 30-year-old Nepali man was  killed when the Indian Seema Suraksha Bal  (SSB) opened fire  Thursday morning  following a dispute over a culvert construction amid ongoing tensions at the border  near Anandabazar.

KATHMANDU, March 9: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has denied that there was incident of firing by SSB in Kanchanpur border. "It is categorically denied that there was any incident of firing by SSB near the border at Aananda Bazaar, Kanchanpur," the embassy tweeted.
