KATHMANDU, Jan 11: The solo flights of paragliding, which have been closed for almost three months, have not yet resumed. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the regulatory body of the aviation sector of the country, banned solo paragliding flights in Pokhara from October 16 last year. Although CAAN said that it will find a new place as soon as possible and open solo flights, it is yet to give the green signal.

POKHARA, Nov 1: A paragliding pilot from Spain stayed at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) in Pokhara for three hours a few days ago. The reason the foreigner spent three hours at the authority was to get permission for paragliding.

POKHARA, March 6: A Russian national died in a paragliding accident on Tuesday in the tourist-hub of Pokhara. He is the second person to die in a paragliding accident in three days.
