KATHMANDU, July 2: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has urged the ordinary public to take necessary precautions to avoid snake bites in the Terai region, particularly during the summer and monsoon seasons.

KATHMANDU, June 26: A person has died due to snake bite in Jhapa. Khagendra Rijal, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, said that the deceased was Shambhu Rajbanshi, 32, a resident of Parakhopi, Haldibari Rural Municipality-2.

SINDHULI, May 30: Two children have died due to snake bite in Sindhuli. Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Sindhuli,  Raj Kumar Silwal said that the deceased have been identified as 13-year-old Greece Pahadi and his younger brother, three-year-old Grisma Pahadi of Kurthauli, Dudhauli Municipality-1.

KATHMANDU, July 31: A 32-year-old youth who was bitten by a snake has died due to the lack of intensive ventilator treatment. Yuvraj Shrestha, who lived in Sindhuli and was running a private school in Bardibas-4 Maisthan, died after being bitten by a snake on Saturday night as he did not receive intensive ventilator treatment, family members said.

LAHAN, July 21: Five people including three children died in separate incidents that took place in the district on Saturday. Five-year-old Sandhya Kumari Shah, the daughter of Pramod Kumar Shah of Siraha municipality-12, died after being bitten by a poisonous snake. She was playing in front of her house when she was bitten by the snake.
