DOLAKHA, March 22: Locals have accused police of misbehaving them in the name of curbing illegal sand mines operating on the bank of Tamakoshi River.

TIKAPUR, March 22: Since the past two months dozens of tractor trailers have been transporting loads of stones and sand illegally extracted from the Karnali River toward Bardiya.

MELAMCHI, August 8: Police have impounded 13 trucks for smuggling sand after illegally excavating it from Indrawati river on Monday night.
