Short route to Khaptad constructed

ACHHAM, June 12: A shorter trekking route leading to the touristic site Khaptad has been constructed here. The visitors using this route can reach Khaptad in three hours. It starts from Unisaina of Sanfebagar municipality-12 in the district.

We have complete dislikes for long routes and it cannot be anything but natural to take shorter ones where possible even while walking. It is not just distance: men are still striving to get to the farthest place faster by any means. It took almost 13 days to fly 9189nm between London-Sydney in 1935 and flying boats did it with 30 stops. People were happy with that as ships took months. The London-Sydney distance is taken as the last frontier even if Auckland is even further off.

Nepal is an agricultural country with 65.6 % of its total population involved in farming. The farming practice here in Nepal is of subsistence as there are small land holdings. About 40% of the total Terai population depends on farming, which is substantially higher than the hilly and mountainous region. The harvest of the region is supplied to all parts of the country, including Kathmandu. Produces such as rice, wheat, sugarcane, and lentils are distributed in the valley through designated vegetable markets.

Nepathya is preparing for a two-city tour of US starting this Saturday from Dallas. A press release issued by the band states that Nepathya is scheduled to perform at ‘The Bomb Factory’ on 9th June and will head to the ‘Royale Boston’ on 24th June.

With the construction of road along one of the world’s most famous trekking routes, the trekking  business is going down as tourists have started using road transports instead of trekking. It has affected tourism entrepreneurs on the one hand, and on the other, trekkers who would enjoy the natural beauty and culture and tradition of people along the way in the Annapurna circuit trekking route, have been deprived of the opportunity.

Vehicles plying without route permits

KOHALPUR, Jan 24: Public buses are travelling from Nepalgunj of Banke district toward Midwestern region without route permits. Similarly, public vehicles from other parts of the districts such as Bagoida, Baijapur, Sitapur, have continued to use the route without permit.
