KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The Tatopani border crossing between Nepal and China has finally reopened for the movement of people after being closed for eight years. Today, the residents of Sindhupalchowk, who obtained the entry permit from the Department of Immigration from the Miteri bridge in Liping, left for China after being checked by the Chinese security personnel. The Chinese officials warmly welcomed  the team including Member of Parliament (MP) Madhav Sapkota.

WALING, Oct 21: The Siddhartha Highway, which was blocked since this morning due to landslides caused by incessant rains, has been reopened. Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, spokesperson for the Syangja District Police Office, said that the Pokhara-Syangja road section under the highway has come into operation from both directions at 10:30 AM.

The airport remained closed for around three months as the upgradations work is underway. It started resuming flights, following the 90 percent completion of blacktopping of the runway, as informed by the Airport Upgradation Project Chief Bir Prasad Shahi.
