KATHMANDU, Nov 29: UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women Dubravka Šimonović has commended Nepal on the substantive legal reforms during the past three years aimed at harmonizing its national legal system with the new constitutional provisions and international commitments to human rights, including women’s rights.

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, Felipe González Morales, has recommended effective implementation of existing laws related to labour for the welfare of the migrant workers.

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: The UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, Felipe González Morales, is visiting Nepal from January 29 to February 5 to assess the recruitment practices and return and reintegration programs for Nepalis working abroad.
