KATHMANDU, August 23: Cancer patients visiting Bir Hospital have been hit hard after the hospital failed to buy the new radio therapy machine to treat cancer patients.

KATHMANDU, July 6: Bir Hospital's tender call for the purchase a radiotherapy machine costing about US$ 4.1 million is said to be in violation of regulations.

KATHMANDU, July 4: Bir Hospital, the oldest and biggest government hospital in the country, is again planning to buy a radiotherapy machine at a cost of US$ 4.1 million, an amount that is enough to  purchase three such machines.

KATHMANDU, April 24: Following a controversial procurement process at Bir Hospital for a Cobalt-60 radiotherapy machine, the Ministry of Health is planning to request the Indian embassy  to provide the machine as a grant.
