BAITADI, July 5: Many of those who were staying in various quarantine facilities awaiting COVID-19 test results have returned home without receiving any information on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, June 7: The government has listed out hotels across the Kathmandu Valley and other places that are available for quarantine service for migrant worker returnees who will be evacuated from abroad.

Rolpa, June 4: At present, almost all the COVID-19 quarantine facilities in Rolpa are already filled with people. There have been a lot of misperceptions about coronavirus, now called COVID 19: That every infected succumbs to death, that every person coming from China is necessarily a carrier of disease, that eating garlic, smearing the body with some oil or spraying alcohol around the house can help prevent infection, so on and so forth.  It is some such misperceptions which led the people of Kharipati area in Bhatkapur, where quarantine facilities were set up by the government to keep the students brought to Kathmandu from Wuhan of China, to oppose the government’s decision.

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The government authorities were scheduled to escort Nepali nationals evacuated from China on Saturday to isolation wards set up in Kharipati, Bhaktapur after health tests at the airport.

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The government has said that it will start evacuating Nepali nationals from Wuhan – the epicenter of the outbreak of coronavirus—in China only after developing necessary quarantine facilities in Nepal.
