SYANGJA, May 8: Bhirkot Municipality of the district has come up with a noble idea to attract pregnant women into a regular health check-up providing an egg each a day to the pregnant women who visit a health post on a regular basis.
According to the Human Development Report 2015 of UNDP, Nepal has the lowest number of doctors per person in South Asia. Nepal has only two physicians for every 10,000 people, which does not meet the World Health Organization standard of 10 doctors for 10,000 people.
