SURKHET, May 17: As many as 18 air accidents have occurred in the Karnali Province in the last 31 years claiming 28 lives. Twelve airplanes and six helicopters have been involved in accidents in the province so far, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

However, the recent one, the one that swept across most the Tarai region last Saturday, was the most devastating, he says. “As soon as there is a black cloud in the sky I feel like fleeing from here. I get very restless,” he said. “I fear if I could save my life again if my house is flooded again,” he added.
KATHMANDU, August 18: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has launched campaign to advertise its toll-free number near and within public offices that are prone to corruption. As part of the drive the corruption watch dog will post wall stickers and billboards calling on service seekers to report any corruption related activities at the public office.
CHITWAN, June 25: With the onset of the monsoon rains, as many as 29 places along the under-construction Narayanghat-Mugling road section have been flagged as potentially risky due to possible landslides. The Narayanghat-Mugling Road Section Project Office, construction officials and security personnel expect the situation to be more critical in the coming days as landslides have already started occurring almost on a daily basis along the road section.
