KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The Tribhuvan University Teachers' Association (TUTA) has protested against the decision of Tribhuvan University to make biometric attendance of teachers and staff mandatory.

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Professors of Tribhuvan University (TU) have staged a protest against the lockout by the Nepal Students Union stating that 200 days have passed since the office of the Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University has been locked.

In Nepal too, professors are co-positioned with the first-class bureaucrats in merit. Such a distinguished position automatically attracts intense gravity. They are expected to be involved in academic excellence, knowledge, studies and research.

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: A study conducted by the National Vigilance Centre has exposed anomalies and irregularities prevailing in the oldest university in the country-Tribhuvan University (TU)- including the shirking of the duties by the lecturers and professors of the University.

BARDIYA, March 31: Professors and lecturers at the Guransh Multiple Campus went on strike from Thursday onwards and stopped attending classes as part of their protest against the campus management which has failed to provide them salaries in the past five months due to financial crunch.

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: Seven professors at the Institute of Medicine (IoM) on Thursday registered a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding annulment of the 'illegal order' issued by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to Tribhuvan University to take action against them.
