Bickering over portfolios continues

KATHMANDU, March 15: Eleven ministries in the new cabinet continue to remain vacant even a month after Prime Minister KP Oli came to power with the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) failing to divide portfolios between themselves and prospective partners in the ruling alliance.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: CPN (Maoist Center), the junior partner in the ruling alliance, is likely to get seven ministerial portfolios including home affairs in Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s left coalition government.

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's efforts to expand the new cabinet failed to materialize  Wednesday amid intraparty wrangling over ministerial berths and delays in allocation of ministries between the partners in the ruling coalition.

Ministers assigned portfolios

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday assigned portfolios to three ministers without portfolios.

KATHMANDU, July 14: After ministers from CPN (Maoist Center), a major coalition partner in the current government, submitted their resignations on Wednesday, the ministerial portfolios held by them have been transferred to leaders from the CPN-UML, the party leading the government, and other remaining coalition partners.
