KATHMANDU, Nov 30: President Bidya Bhandari is leaving for Katowice city of Poland on Saturday, leading the Nepali delegation to the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 24).

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The Nepali weightlifting team competing in the 'World University Weightlifting Championship' left here for Poland last night. The four-member team includes two weightlifters and two officials.

Students of Laalabaala are scheduled to participate in Human Mosiac Festival, in Theater Brama, Poland.  24 countries are slated to participate in the festival. As per the press release, the Nepali participants will practice their act, Heroes Don’t Come, prior to their performance. The visit is being jointly organized by Kathmandu Pragya Kunja School and School Theater Nepal.

Japan are within touching distance of reaching the knockout phase of the FIFA World Cup for the third time in their history. A draw against Poland will guarantee the Samurai Blue qualification from the group stage, while depending on other results, even defeat at the Volgograd Arena could grant the Japanese a spot in the Round of 16.
