KATHMANDU, May 26: India is said to spend more than INR 17 billion to build two petroleum pipeline projects and a storage facility. The construction of a petroleum pipeline from Siliguri in India to Jhapa and from Amlekhganj in Bara to Lothar in Chitwan to supply petroleum products to Nepal, will help to build a greenfield terminal (storage site) in Jhapa.

NEW DELHI, Jan 12: Nepal and India are holding consultations through various mechanisms for the latter's cooperation in sectors including expansion of electricity transmission line, use of advanced technology and the extension of the petroleum pipeline in Nepal.

PARSA, Dec 20: Only 12.2 kilometers remain for laying pipeline for fuel supply of the total 36.2 kilometers Motihari-Amlekhganj project. Laying pipeline for petroleum product supply covering 24 kilometers on Nepal side has been over under the mega project prioritized by governments of both Nepal and India, said Motihari-Amlekhganj petroleum pipeline project office, Simara.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Nearly 50 percent of works related to laying petroleum pipeline between Nepal and India have completed in seven months since beginning of the construction work.
