KATHMANDU, March 21: Following the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, petrol pumps operated by Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have commenced 24-hour service starting Wednesday, March 20.

​Most gas stations in Kathmandu Valley are located in densely populated areas. A school building might stand right next to or just a few meters from a petrol station. We see shops and residential houses lying adjacent to petrol pumps.  This is not how it ought to be legally and practically but this is how it has been for many years.

PARSA, Aug 12: The office of Standards and Metrology in Parsa sealed off a petrol station in Hetauda for selling a less amount of fuel than paid for.
