PARBAT, Dec 2: Locals are demanding the operation of the stone quarry in Modi Rural Municipality of Parbat, which has remained closed for the past 16 years. Previously, the quarry's products, in high demand for roofing, construction, and slate, caused significant losses to the residents when it was closed.
PARBAT, Sept 10: The Mission Hospital here has remained closed for around two decades. Established in 2050 BS at Paiyu Rural Municipality-4 in the district with the aim of providing health services to the people of rural areas in the district in particular, the health facility was closed citing insecurity during the Maoist insurgency, it has been said.
PARBAT, Oct 22: The first test of the world's second longest superman zipline which was under construction at Kusma Bazaar in Parbat has been successful. The test in a 1,400-meter-long zip line from Chakle Dil in Kusma Municipality-5 to Saune Bagar passing over the Kaligandaki River was conducted on Monday.
PARBAT, July 18: The incessant rain has severely damaged roadways connecting various districts inside the country. The road section that connects Nagliwang and Luprang in Parbat has become very risky for public vehicles to pass as the roadway remains severely damaged. So far, ther road section has not been repaired which has put locals and travelers at risk.
PARBAT, July 17: The Parbat-Baglung section of the Mid-hill Highway has been obstructed due to landslides triggered by continuous rainfall. Landslides that took place at Sahasradhara-1 of Kushma Municipality have obstructed the road section since last night.
POKHARA, Dec 12: The newly-launched bungee jump spot in Kushma, which has also been claimed as the world’s second-highest spot of this kind, is flooded with domestic tourists as the country is gradually but cautiously trying to resume all tourism-related businesses in recent days.

It has surfaced that the crusher plants are not collecting construction materials like stones and sand not just for the highway but for elsewhere also. Many houses recently built or presently under construction in the district are being supplied construction materials by those crusher plants.

Though the prison has an original capacity for accommodating 15 male and 10 female, it is now managing 102 inmates.
