CHITWAN, Dec 4: The annual production of paddy has increased in the district this year. Paddy production has increased by 11,486 metric tons in the district this year, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre Bharatpur.

CHITWAN, JUNE 29: The production of spring paddy has been increasing in Chitwan due to mechanization, quality seeds, management of farmers and awareness. According to the Agriculture Knowledge Center, Chitwan, the production of spring paddy has increased by 20 percent in the last four years.

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Nepal’s paddy production this year has declined by around 500,000 tons, mainly due to massive floods triggered by the torrential rainfall in October, last year.

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Paddy production in the country has increased by 70,000 metric tons due to favorable weather and timely plantation this year. Although the government was unable to provide the required chemical fertilizer at the time of paddy plantation, the production has increased, compared to the previous years.

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Nepal’s paddy production is estimated to stand at around 5.6 million metric tons this year, which is an additional 50,000 tons on the production of the last year.

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Paddy production in the current Fiscal Year 2019/20 has declined by one percentage point, or 59,000 tons, to 5.55 million tons, according to a government projection.

DAMAK, June 30: As farmers in the district have started using harvesting machine in a bid to modernize paddy farming, their cost of production has increased this season. However, they have been compelled to sell paddy for cheaper rates than in previous years, which is incurring them huge losses.

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: A recent preliminary data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has projected more than 8 percent growth in the country’s paddy production.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Paddy production is projected to grow by 4.8 percent to 5.4 million tons this year. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development had projected paddy production to grow to this level in 2017. However, only 5.15 million tons of was produced in the year due to late monsoon and floods in Tarai districts.
