KATHMANDU, August 22: The recent incessant monsoon rains, which triggered massive floods in tarai and landslides in other parts of the country, have added an element of uncertainty to the growth outlook for Fiscal Year 2017/18, according to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

KATHMANDU, July 31:A study by Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS), Kathmandu University, has concluded that favorable monsoon, regular supply of electricity, low number of political strikes, improvement in post-earthquake reconstruction activities, expansion in government revenue and capital expenditure have all contributed to the 15-year-high economic growth in the last fiscal year -- FY2016/17.

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has become optimistic about the economic outlook of the country, citing that the most of the macroeconomic and financial indicators for the country are heading toward an improvement in the current fiscal year.
